Oriental Bank of Commerce Syllabus and Question Paper Pattern 2016

Oriental Bank of Commerce invites application for the post of Specialist Officers 2016 for the following post.

Qualification for Senior Manager (Risk Management)
Graduate in any stream full time regular course with aggregate 60% marks or equivalent in CGPA AND Post Graduation full time regular course in Mathematics/Statistics/Economics or MBA in Finance/Banking/Risk Management or PG Diploma in Finance/Banking/Risk Management) or Engineering with aggregate 60% marks or equivalent in CGPA. OR Completed professional courses like CA/ICWA/CFA (USA) Qualifications like FRM, PRMIA, DTIRM shall be preferred.
Post qualification experience of not less than 3 years in implementation of advanced approaches under Basel II/III framework (Credit Risk / Market Risk / Operational Risk / ICAAP) in related field preferably in a Public/Private Sector Bank / Foreign Banks in India / Financial Institutions

Qualification for Manager (IT)
Engineering Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics & Communication OR Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication.
Post qualification experience of not less than 2 years in related field in a Bank/NBFC/Financial Institution.

Qualification for Manager (Forex)
Graduate/Post Graduate preferably with Commerce/Mathematics/Economics background. Professional qualifications viz. CAIIB/CA/MBA/CFA/MCA etc. is desirable.
Post qualification experience of not less than 1 year in related field in a Bank/NBFC/Financial Institution.

Qualification for Manager (Debt/Equity)
Graduate/Post Graduate preferably with Commerce/Mathematics/Economics background. Professional qualifications viz. CAIIB/CA/MBA/CFA/MCA etc. is desirable.
Post qualification experience of not less than 2 years in related field in a Bank/NBFC/Financial Institution.

Qualification for Manager (Law)
Full time Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.
Post qualification experience of not less than 1 year in related field in a Bank/NBFC/Financial Institution.

Qualification for Manager (FA) – Chartered Accountant
Passed Final Examination for Chartered Accountants.
Should have passed the respective CA exams in 1st attempt with or without experience. OR Candidates who have passed the respective CA exams in more than one attempt should possess minimum one year post qualification experience in financial sector.

Qualification for Manager (Security)
Bachelor’s Degree from any University recognized by Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government.
An Officer with 5 years Commissioned Service in Indian Army / Navy / Air Force OR Officers of Para Military / Central Armed Police Forces with 5 years experience.

Qualification for Security Officer
Bachelor’s Degree from any University recognized by Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government.
An Officer with 3 years Commissioned Service in Indian Army / Navy / Air Force OR Officers of identical work in Para Military Forces with 3 years experience.

Qualification for Fire Officer
Bachelor’s Degree from any University recognized by Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government AND Sub-Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and possessing knowledge of mandatory requirements of providing fire protection and prevention in high rise business buildings as per National Building Code and Bureau of Indian Standards OR Junior Commissioned Officer of Defence Services (Army/Navy/Air Force) qualified in Fire Prevention / Fire Fighting Course of six months duration or more from Defence Services Establishment(s).
Minimum 3 years experience as SubOfficer in State / Central Government Fire Services or as Junior Commissioned Officer of Defence Services (Army/Navy/Air Force) qualified in Fire Prevention / Fire Fighting Course of six months duration or more from Defence Services Establishment(s) OR Minimum 3 years experience in the capacity of Fire Officer after Fire Sub Officers’ course or Fire Safety Officer in any of the Public Sector Undertaking or Public Sector Bank.

OBC Specialist Officer Selection Procedure

The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Group Discussion (GD) and / or Personal Interview. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for GD/PI. The Bank reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for the GD / PI after preliminary screening / short-listing with reference to candidate’s qualification, suitability and experience etc. The marks of Group Discussion / Personal Interview for these posts are as follows:
Group Discussion 50 Marks
Personal Interview 100 Marks
However, the Bank reserves the right to conduct an online written test, in case, the number of applications received from eligible candidates is reasonably high for screening/short listing the candidates for Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview. The details of the online written test, if any, shall be communicated to the candidates in advance. However, final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Group Discussion (GD) and / or Personal Interview. Subject to the vacancies available under the respective category, only those candidates who pass the Group Discussion (GD) and / or Personal Interview will be short-listed for selection in the order of merit/rank obtained by them under the respective category. Please note that in case the Bank decides to conduct the online written examination (in case of receipt of large number of applications), such online examination will be conducted at the following centres - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow and Bhopal. The date of the examination will be intimated accordingly and structure of the examination will be as follows:
